Who We Are

The name Stars Burn Down comes from Revelation 6:13. It was chosen in the middle of a battle - and it continues to point us back to truth every time we step on stage.

Our heart is to lead with conviction and obedience, keeping a clear focus on who Jesus is, and creating space for people to encounter Him in a real and personal way.

John 6:29 puts it simply:
“The only work God wants from us is to believe in the one He sent.”

That’s it for us. One thing - Jesus.

We care about doing things well, but more than that, we care about doing them honestly. Whether it’s a church service, a conference, or a festival, our goal is to support what God is doing in the room and serve with excellence and humility.

Our hope is that people don’t just remember the music, but the heart behind it - and the encounter with Jesus in the middle of it.

We’re grateful for every opportunity to worship with you.

- Tim, Nick, Todd, Ardell and Chris

The Band

  • Tim leads vocals and serves on acoustic and electric guitar, helping lead people in worship and create space for them to encounter Jesus in a real and personal way.

He is a husband and a dad of two, and most Sundays you’ll find him leading worship at his home church, Grand Point Church. Outside of music and ministry, he works in financial technology.

Whether leading from the stage or behind the scenes, his focus is the same: keep everything centered on Jesus, serve the moment, and lead with authenticity.

  • Todd plays guitar and bass, bringing versatility and a steady presence to the band’s sound.

He is married with five children - and a proud “Pap” - and brings that same sense of family and consistency into everything he does.

A carpenter by trade, Todd also serves as an instructor, investing in the next generation of skilled trades. He has earned multiple industry certifications and was named Associated Builders and Contractors Craft Instructor of the Year.

Todd plays guitar at his home church, Bethel AG in Chambersburg, and brings that same heart for worship into every setting. He loves the Lord and brings a grounded, dependable approach to the band, always focused on supporting the team and serving the moment well.

  • Nick plays guitar and bass, bringing both versatility and a thoughtful approach to the band’s sound.

He is married, has a daughter, and is expecting his second child later this year.

Nick works in commercial construction as an estimator and previously ran his own construction services company.

Nick plays guitar on the worship team at Carlisle Evangelical Free Church. A lefty who plays right-handed, he has a unique feel and approach to the instrument that adds to the band’s dynamic.

Around the band, he’s known for being able to back the trailer into just about anywhere - something that’s impressive to watch.

He brings a steady, thoughtful presence and a willingness to do whatever is needed to support the Band’s mission.

  • Ardell plays guitar for Stars Burn Down and brings a steady, grounded presence to the band.

He works in construction services and has previously owned his own construction business. He has also served as a firefighter and carries that same sense of responsibility and service into everything he does.

Ardell is married with two children, plays guitar at his home church, Grand Point Church, and leads a men’s group focused on encouraging and equipping others in their faith.

A left-handed player (you’ll notice his guitar points the “wrong” way), Ardell brings both character and consistency to the group, always focused on serving well and supporting the moment.

  • Chris plays drums and brings a steady presence that anchors the band’s sound.

He is married with two daughters, and after a long career in agricultural nutritional science, now invests that same consistency and discipline into the life of the band.

His bandmates would describe him as the heartbeat of the group - not only keeping everything in time, but also helping guide the team and lead from within. He brings both leadership and steadiness behind the kit.
